About

CVG was created by Cora Valentine-Goddard during the first Covid-19 lockdown, in an attempt to provide specialist help for victims of domestic abuse during this challenging time.

Cora qualified as a Family solicitor in a top tier firm in London in 2010, where she worked in the Family department as an Associate Solicitor for several years before leaving to have her own family. She took a short career break to focus on bringing up her children and during that time completed her training in Family Mediation due to her interest in resolution.

"I decided to set up on my own during the Covid-19 lockdown as a Freelance solicitor with the aim of providing a service to those who do not want to compromise on the quality of advice, but cannot afford high private solicitor’s fees. The demand for our services has grown and we're delighted to have formed CVG Family Law as a registered firm in 2023. Our aim is to continue to grow in line with demand so that we can be there to help our clients through their challenges and find them a position outcome"

CVG works closely with local stalking charity to provide advice to those most in need of access to justice.

Our solicitors have expertise in all aspects of relationship breakdown with a particular passion for assisting and advising vulnerable clients and victims of domestic abuse.

These can be incredibly frightening times for some and it takes courage to take the necessary steps towards security and the freedom to live a life free of fear and control. We can guide you through this process and help you to achieve the best outcome possible for you and your children.

We have a personal, compassionate, empathetic approach to all of our clients. We listen to your needs and tailor our advice accordingly. Each family is unique and therefore each case is unique.

We believe in a holistic approach in an attempt to alleviate stress. We will identify the best ways to achieve your goals at cost effective rates and will either support a conciliatory approach where possible or, if needed, will fight on your behalf to protect you, your children and / or your assets and secure what you are entitled to. We are very aware of the emotional turmoil experienced by most clients during this time and we are dedicated to making sure that you feel confident of each step and have the emotional support and guidance that you need to feel empowered to walk through the change in your life.

Every case is different and personal so if you are looking for a caring solicitor who can really understand and emphasise on many levels to the challenges you are facing in your life at the moment, with the ability to guide you through to the other side with pragmatic, clear advice at an affordable rate, then you have found your way to the right place.
